When the inhuman corporations are taxed to oblivion, the compassionate government will ensure everyone receives an income sufficient for a good liberal lifestyle. Just like in Cuba. The compassionate government will accomplish this by nationalizing the wealth of the rich. Of course, special people who live in special places like Seattle and San Francisco will receive a premium over the incomes of primitives who live in benighted Bug Tussles and Possum Trots. Only someone deficient in compassion would have a problem with that.
