I'm not necessarily for subsidies.

Lots of corporations/industries get subsidies. Just change the code and eliminate them...

Can you tell us about at least a couple of these so-called "subsidies"? Just a brief description so everyone knows what you're referring to?

Oil companies do not get subsidies, however they do get tax breaks. However green energy, ethanol, wind, solar, etc. get out and out subsidies as well as much larger tax breaks, if they actually make a profit. However, some oil companies participate in the green energies as well, perhaps this is the confusion?
