Ted, the median household income in America was $49,777 back in 2009, i.e. the worst part of the recession.

Tell me again why I should feel sorry for a family that makes $75K/year. Because they live in Seattle? Give me a break, Seattle isn't THAT expensive.

Why you should feel sorry? Besides, isn't that a bit of an oxymoron.....a winger feeling?

Assuming my friend's family income is $75K, they would not be eligible for subsidized housing in the Seattle area. However, if they made $10K less, they would be:

Just for the record, subsidized housing is for low income people.......and not the middle class. My friend's family is barely lower middle class living in Seattle.

You need to get out more and experience the world. You've led a very sheltered life.

Ten, you're living in one of the most expensive areas of the country, although in the lowest rent city in it, other than East Palo Alto. East Palo Alto is where Silly Valley puts it's blacks. Your town is Mexican.

Really! Ask anyone in Palo Alto or Mountain View!
