LLNL contributions include the National Storage Laboratory (NSL) and High-Performance Storage System environment, massively parallel systems, emerging technologies in parallel input/output, cluster environments, and dynamic software to manage the environment and its resources. The GO-NII testbed will provide integrated access tools to accomplish the desired seamless environment. For example, with the massive amounts of data generated as part of the SSD, effective tools are needed to allow scientists to browse and search through their datasets.
