AAPL's Powerbook 80 % faster than INTC's best (233 mz Tillamook)

Makes sense as AAPL's PowerPC uses Reduced Instruction Set Commands (RISC) whereas INTC still uses Complex Instruction Command Set (CICS)

INTC expects to use it (RISC) two years from now in its Merced CPU .

MSFT's Office 98 should help AAPL's OS 8 servers and hopefully with Rhapsody AAPL's servers could also support LOTUS's offerings.

One more "hopefully" - that Peter Lynch was smart enough to buy AAPL at $15. That's history .

The future now is AAPL's with INTC being forced to defend its market share and MSFT about to find itself in a expanded FTC defense .

Will this create a OS window for AAPL ? Consider that the FTC action against IBM justified 200 FTC lawyers full time for 20 years . MSFT will be distracted !

Stay long with this AAPL puppy .

"MS Office98 beta"

The Apple sales rep that I'm working with has referred me to the Microsoft sales rep to get me a FREE copy of MS Office 98 beta.

He thinks proliferation of Office 98 for Mac will show the true speed of the PowerPC since it was developed for the Mac instead of emulated for the Mac.

Haven't played with Office98 yet. I may get around to it next week.
