The entire "benevolent God to whom we are special" myth was cooked up when we believed the Earth was flat and WE were the center of the universe. When we thought stars were little lights embedded in crystal spheres rotating around us. Only weak minds need it today. The God idea should be left back with the flat Earth and crystal spheres! It's much more likely we're some sort of forgotten experiment by aliens. I have no doubt that there are MANY beings with powers greater than our in the universe, but I really don't want to meet them or worship them, and I dearly hope they don't ever notice us!
