I think the problem with the price of TXN is that too many
institutions have bought it. The stock has a very large
institutional ownership. But since this past summer, the
institutions have been dumping shares. The general public
has been buying them. Since TI has a large institutional
ownership, it gets hit more than average.

Here is a link (I got from the Kahuna thread) that discusses
these institutional moves:

KAHN: Well, if they're the smart money, they're starting
to pull a little bit of money out.

The future is hard to predict, but my humble opinion is that the
rise since October 27 is a classic sucker's rally where the smart
money sells its shares to the general public. TXN has the mis-
fortune to be a company once favored by the smart money.

What has changed since you predicted the stock at $200 by year end?Is it just the Asia problem? We have been through the math on the Dram impact several times--16% of revenue and going down as a%--- as DSP grows as a %.The impact is dampened by the Joint Venture set up on dram--which is 100%--- so why is dram such a big deal.
Why did you change from $200 to below $85?
