The FED will merge with the ECB and create a new currency union. The new unit will be called the Drakma. ;-D

Emat;
Don't worry there was life before QE2 and there will be life after QE2.

What will happen? History tells us that politicians will do whatever is necessary to hold onto the power. Consider Britain's currency once the strongest and the reserve currency and how it got devalued.

Headlines in 1934

"Aug. 31, 1934: The value of the pound sterling has dropped below the $5.00 mark for the first time since devaluation."

On September 19 1949

"The pound sterling is devalued to-day from 4,03 dollars to 2,80 dollars. This was announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir Stafford Cripps, in a broadcast last night."
"He described it as "a constructive economic step" whose long-term results should be a healthy impetus to world-wide multilateral trade.

M. Camille Gutt, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, described the devaluation as "a step in the right direction."

And so it went from being worth over 5 usd to almost par $1.05 to the £1.00 Feb 1985. The only reason it isn't lower today is because the dollar has declined more.

So does it matter QE2,QE3 whatever the name the results the same.

Solution: Invest in real things, Property, Pm's, businesses with real cash flow, etc.
