After the notorious incident involving him and the Times Square hotel chambermaid, its now the turn of a French journalist to ensure that Dominique Strauss-Kahn's presidential aspirations are jeopardised. International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn faces sex assault allegations. Tristane Banon, the 31 year old French journalist has put herself in the lime light by accusing Strauss-Kahn of sexually assaulting her in the year 2002. Incidentally, Ms. Banon is the god-daughter of Strauss-Kahn's second wife Brigitte Guillemette. Although she had raised her voice in the past also, this time Ms. Banon has communicated through her lawyer that she is considering filing a complaint. It is also expected that she holds a press conference to make her revelations. The alleged victim who dared to describe the 62-year-old chief of International Monetary Fund (IMF) as 'a rutting chimpanzee', accused him of trying to exploit her position as a trainee journalist nine years ago. At the time of the reported incident , she was just 21 years old. This will mean more trouble for Strauss-kahn who is currently fighting vigorously to prove his innocence in the Times Square incident. As reported earlier, Strauss-Kahn had maintained that he was spending time alongside his daughter in a New York restaurant, at the time of the alleged incident involving him and the African-American maid. Strauss-Kahn's otherwise exemplary financial career was plagued by a string of similar allegations. Three years ago, he was subject to a strong accusation from a French Socilaist MP, who spoke of inappropriate behaviour from him while they were left to themselves in a room. Another controversy that almost stripped him of his position as the head of IMF was his sexual relationship with Piroska Nagy, who was his subordinate. Later, Strauss-Kahn admitted the allegation. The French Socialist party as well as Strauss-Kahn, who was tipped to become the President of France in 2012, will be hoping that he is ultimately acquitted of all charges like in the past.
