I agree with a lot in that article.

But I'm not sure that its relevant to the conversation (or even that you meant it to be). Government isn't more cooperative or based on sympathy than market action. Government is political competition and applied force, which can be used to organize cooperation. Market action is organizing cooperation through market forces. Both can be used to accumulate resources to help those you sympathize with. Neither is the same as charity. I think all three (government, the operations of free market, and charity) are important. If your trying to imply that "government = cooperation" and "market = pure selfishness, and viscous destructive competition", I disagree with both points. If your just trying to say cooperation and charity are important, I agree.
