ok if we are talking market decline as opposed to economic decline, since i think a lot of short term moves are fear based I have no idea why investors would somehow act rationally in terms of what they choose to sell, even if those are value stocks. what traditionally drops less in corrections are divedend paying pharma and consumer staples, beyond that i have no idea. if the market melts down cash is the only safe place to be was we learned in 2008, at least temporarily.
