"The Federal Reserve System is nothing more than socialized central planning in the monetary arena. In fact, Karl Marx and Frederick Engels wrote in The Communist Manifesto that one of the initial measures of the Communist Revolution would be "a centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly." And as Oscar B. Johannsen has written: "A socialized banking system is the precursor of socialism in all business.""

Anatomy of an ignorant, whining, self-centered tyranny-loving liberal - all items posted in separate posts today.

The dysfunctional Senate is the fault of the Constitution and the Senate rules. The Senate is a very undemocratic institution.

TG, under the Senate rules, 41 Senators representing states comprising 10% of the US population can block any legislation. That is very undemocratic.

I understand we are not a democracy and wish we were a democracy.

<<it saves us from the tyranny of the majority....>> It also keeps us from taking action on serious problems.

JLA, it's your masters who say the debt is a serious problem but they can't do anything about it because of the filibuster rules.

You were on one hell of a roll today, counsel. You need to get over the romanticism you and your comrades have regarding ruling over the down-trodden, vicitimized hoi polloi. We, The People, are none of that and our representatives in government are not our masters.

Until you get that, which I have little confidence in, you'll never get the meaning of the Constitution. Your understanding of American history is truly pitiful and your disregard for the failed history of socialism/communism could only come from intellectual dishonesty. You need to face yourself honestly and stop swooning for tyrants who'd use you like a door mat and discard you at will. In your case, it is unfortunate that the Constitution was constructed to protect you from people like you.
