I buy franchises. Intel, Cisco, Applied Materials, Microsoft. I'm also buying Dell, Compaq.

My strategy is pretty straightforward. Watch the fundamentals on the companies you follow. Watch them like a hawk. The moment you catch wind they're changing, get out.


Looks good. On paper, that is. For example, INTC's fundamentals are deteriorating, yet it is on your buy list. AMAT's near-term fundamentals are uncertain at best. Same could be said about DELL and CPQ. MSFT and CSCO look strong but both are priced way above their projected EPS growth rate.
