I suppose you'd prefer to walk after the battery is dead, as you would with the Leaf...these are very different cars, with very different intended purposes. One can safely say that the Volt can do what the Leaf can, but not the converse.


The point is the Leaf can get a person where they need to go without the need for gasoline. The Volt cannot even serve the most basic needs without gasoline.

Few sensible people would buy EITHER as a principal vehicle. But the Volt offers nothing over a traditional gasoline powered car. The Leaf does. And it is 10K cheaper.

This is no contest.
