Particularly when they STILL have to go gas up the car on a regular basis. I wouldn't think of taking on this hassle and frankly I don't know of one soul who would. OTOH, if you can me a car that I can plug in at a "home charging outlet" and I can drive it all day and eliminate the hassle and cost of buying ANY gas, that's something I can think about. Can you honestly say you would do this? When you get home at night you plug it in. Oops. Gotta run to the store (on gas, 'cause it isn't charged yet). You unplug it. (I'll leave the cord on the nasty garage floor 'til I get back, since it is a quick trip). When you come home then you plug it in again. In the cold Bay Area morning you're going to unplug it, roll that nasty extension cord up, and off you go for another 25 miles. Oops. Out of gas. Stop and fill up. I don't know, Ten. I just can't see it.
