I used to live in a 3-story brick townhouse in Brookline, MA. My bedroom was in the front, on the 3d floor. There were wisteria vines that grew up the wall outside my windows. We had a family of raccoons living nearby and they'd climb the wisteria vines. More than once I'd look out the window to see a young 'coon staring back at me just outside the window.

We also had skunks living under the front porch. This was, mind you, the next town over from Boston. Quite an urban setting.

We have raccoons that live next door..rabbits who live somewhere on the property, coyotes visiting the backyard..squirrels galore....I could never poison any of them. I like that i have a little nature here in the city. With two big black dogs they all keep their distance from the house though. I don't worry about animals sneaking inside of the house.
