Thanks Paul,I will be keeping that timeline in mind as I consider
whether I will re-enter at somepoint for a ride-up or simply stay-out
and take my shares already in out as a tax-loss.Max

Paul...

<< they will have missed the opportunity >>

Ignoring the investment side of this...

It'll be a sad day for all of us, don't you think, if AMD is forced to throw in the towel? The colossis Intel will be totally free again to trample us with their monopoly and their stuff-it-down-your-throat-soak-'em-for-all-they're-worth mentality.

Woe to us poor little computists should that occur again (after all our other CPU losses...Zilog, Digital, Hitachi, Motorola, etc.) Sure it would be fine for Intel stockholders, but for the rest of the universe it would be absolutely pathetic. Soon it will be impossible for anyone to break into this market from scratch because of economies of scale, etc. We need real competition in this market right now, or we are toast...Intel will take over the world.

Can anyone really want such a one-company domination of this incredibly important market? I see AMD as our one and only potential-champion (battered but not out) in this bloody war...

regards, Dan
