crs: Not to put down IDTC, but it really isn't the only player in the IP telephony space like you have been saying in this and other IP telephony threads. You have the idea that IP telephony is only about long distance services and so you feel IDTC is the only play. You are a little misinformed here - long distance services are only one part of IP telephony. There are corporation internal phone networks over their intranets that have nothing to do with public networks, there are call-centers that hang off the PSTN and the internet, there is related technology for voice-compression, speech recognition etc that is going to be involved in IP telephony, there are things like IP fax services, etc.

IDTC is trying to provide long distance services over the internet. Others are going to be doing the same, and by others I mean MCI, AT&T, DT, etc. Many of these companies haven't committed to any one vendor yet, but they have been looking at gateway vendors and you can bet that any gateway vendors that are chosen are going to do well. IDTC is not competing with the likes of VOCLF, NSPK, EFusion, etc, they are competing with the likes of MCI, AT&T, DT, BT, etc. Companies like EFusion are like the arms merchants in this business, they can happily sell to MCI, AT&T, IDTC, or any other provider of long distance services including the local ISPs if they want to get in on the action.

Basically, long distance is one sector, IP telephony comprises many. IDTC is one of many interesting plays that have been and will be fun to follow and make money on.

Keep writing about IDTC, you are right that at the moment, in the IP space, it is one of the very few companies that is actually showing positive earnings. But comparing IDTC to say EFusion or NSPK is comparing apples to oranges.

Now, comparing EFusion to VOCLF is another matter entirely. I wish EFusion was publicly traded.
