Hello Margaret: What I was really trying to communicate is that there is the potential for some very bullish activity in the coming weeks that is predicated on the fact that the market sold off due to a confluence of events that essentially telescoped a lot of bad news into a short term time span. One thing I have learnt is that no matter how bad things are, if the market looks like it wants to rally it will usually rally. The market began sensing trouble at the end of July and so one could argue that we have already been in a three month correction. Secondly, if one were to look at the market from a technical standpoint having just returned from a four month jaunt in the mir space station and had not heard any news whatsoever and you were to take a look at IBM, MICROSOFT or WALMART, the DRUGS, the OIL majors or the Drillers, one would have to conclude that the market went through it's normal period of October weakness and had weathered things pretty well. All of the above look relatively very strong and one could make a reasonable assumption that they could be headed even higher, perhaps substantially so. With the current events swirling around, they are acting like a brake on the market. Should any or all of these events be discounted, the market could hit the accelerator and hard. Back in April/May the biggest surprise to most was how quickly the market recovered and resumed its record breaking bull run. Whilst I believe that this correction has been a lot more serious with a lot of drama and the potential to damage a lot of stocks technically, if your holdings were limited to the abovementioned stocks, you would have hardly noticed that there was a correction. This is the point I am trying to make, not necessarily that I am a raging bull. The most important things to observe is how the market reacts to news not necessarily the news itself. Your remarks on the cod liver oil are fascinating, what dosage was he taking and how much did he reduce his cholesterol by. I also read the reports on eating fish and there has been a lot of compelling evidence about fish oils in the past. We have tried to move to the vegetable based meat replacement and I must admit it does'nt taste too bad! Thanks and regds Wiz
