Re: Justifying the high price

At the least, if SystemWizard is a bust, SYSF will scale back investment and focus solely again on the system side and at these levels it's undervalued.

SystemSoft is much more expensive than Phoenix and Award, so you can justify the high price only by the hope that SystemWizard will produce significant new revenue. It might happen, but wishful thinkful isn't enough. You need something like a friend at Compaq or Dell who is impressed with the product during the trial period.

Of course, by focusing on SystemWizard they may have lost some momentum on the system side but it doesn't seem to have occurred based on their annoucements.

It's expensive to switch software developers and SystemSoft hasn't lost much in the base business. However, Award got the PC Card contract for the Compaq Armada series (check their PR). Phoenix and Award haven't made significant USB progress, either. That might change, though, so watch this week's announcements at Comdex.
