Pelosi and Reid made Americans think their tax rates were going up right up to Dec 2010. They tried to impose burdensome carbon taxes on the economy. They did impose an unpopular health plan (except favored supplicants). In the real world, things like that scare people into being afraid to hire people.

And that is what is really at the heart of this. Which is why they are freaking out right now. Despite all of their efforts, and they have been Herculean, the economy is slowly recovering. Which is why all of the Republicans who might have a chance are bowing out.

Leaving the nuts to run for president.
