Glenn, yes ISPs are the real victims. Consumers like myself can always buy the high quality (ie, USR) modem when there is a sale and then shop for an ISP to connect to. But ISPs are gambling with their business when they decide which standard to follow.

The situation is bad enough that I don't think a standard will ever be reached. Why CSCO has never participated in this contest? I know they endorsed k56flex but that's just a statement.
