How old is your CD-ROM? Recordit has two modes of operation one where it directly reads data from the CD, but this mode only works on newer CD-ROM drives that allow you to read raw music tracks. he mode that should work but might need some tweedling is where the digital stream is captured from your sound card. Haven't had a problem with Record-it myself but my guess is that you've got an older CD-ROM and sound card.

Mark, i've been using a bata verson of RecordIt&#153 for several months now (hint: i want a Color Gigapack for Christmas) and have not had any problems. It is so easy an adult could use it. Must be "Operator Error"

>>TO ALL: I just installed Recordit software and can't get it to record from a cd and playback from a zip disk or any other source. Recording voice from a microphone works. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions?<<

Mark -

There are two different record buttons on the RecordIt screens. One of them shows a picture of a microphone with an arrow curving into the disk, and the other shows a CD with the arrow.

If you are in the voice recording screen, the CD recording button appears in the lower right, next to the playback button.

If you already know this, sorry. If you want to e-mail me I might be able to help.

- Allen
