The south has the west and north just where they wanted them now. Very high costs of living and doing business in most big cities while the cheap ones are slowly dying. My guess is the bigger cities of the south become more and more blue,global,and forward thinking while the rural areas keep repeating the same old song and dance.

I think that's already happened with Georgia. If Atlanta gets much bigger, it will dictate state politics if it doesn't already. It will be like NYC and upstate NY.......the ultimate fighting club.
