This is just starting to unwind. Obviously some of the Asian countries have taken refuge in the U.S. dollar and by the looks of it the price of gold suggests selling to help support their currencies ( This has just created a better buying opportunity for the precious metal).
What happens when the world realizes that the emperor has no clothes? (the U.S. has just borrowed it's wealth).
I have followed Martin Armstrong's writings for a couple of years (Princeton economics) and over a year ago he was saying the eventually we could see 10,000/oz gold. (year 2000?)
