You could well be right... at least in the short term. And the Qs vs USPIX show more on the upside.... and that combination (surrogate) is usually a leading indicator.

And we haven't had a real breakdown in any major trendlines nor AD ma levels... but the AD mas are close now.

I guess my real problem is that the consumer has yet to show his and her face to keep things going - my surrogate using the consumer leads by about 8 months and shows we still have a couple of months before the markets come under real pressure.

But things could change at any time - like a retaliation on CONUS for the US taking out Bin Laden... that could turn things upside down at the drop of a hat.

And BTW, SPY P&F projections show a movement anywhere from 25% to over 50% from here possibly into the 2000 range for S&P 500.

That is pretty bullish before this is all over?

I am more inclined to think a sideways movement with the possibly a retest of old highs... market volume ratio of up to down just does not warrant a 50% move IMHO. But of course, that could change.

And again, all the caveats apply.
