Here is an interesting conference at Comdex on Tue 18th, I would have to pay extra to attend this one...but since I'm planning to invest $30K+ maybe I should attend?

4 - 5 pm: Panel Discussion: Issues on the PC road map
Interactive session with key PC-industry executives and editors of
EETimes. To be held within the Special Events Pavilion

Leading technologists grapple with the key technical issues ahead for
mainstream computer designers in the coming 12-24 months. Likely
topics to be discussed include the following: How will the emergence of
systems-on-a-chip capabilities impact PC design? What's the outlook
for the PCI bus? Are Rambus Direct DRAMs the right solution for PC
main memory? What obstacles will designers face trying to incorporate
new interfaces -- such as USB, 1394 and Device Bay -- into
next-generation systems. The audience will be encouraged to share
their concerns and query the panel.

Moderator: Rick Boyd-Merritt, Editor-at-large, EETimes

Panelists:
