A lil twitter thing going on right now is over Ed of MSNBC calling Laura I a slut. Seems there a lotta 'liberals' defending that, as they defend calling Ann Coulter the he-she. I mean... they aren't sexist and they cool with trans people right? but those are bad women, so it's all fair. ayup. Then some get pouty: "well, rwnj's get to call people names like that, why can't I?" Seriously? and 'liberals' who call Obama a house negro. seriously wtf on that one. There's a reason the women's movement split off on its own from any connection with the anti-war movement. But watching the racism and sexism and homophobia just boil up, when it can't be covered by "the other side is worser than us" bull is quite interesting. I've been reading several timelines. There are a number of men stepping up strong against referring to her as a slut and that Ed needs some sort of consequence. The only white guy strong on it is from Alabama. Whole lotta super liberal white men in very blue places either outright saying they don't care he did it and what's the big deal, or being all half-hearted in saying it was wrong. Quite interesting and reminded me of this. We are getting somewhere, though, Mr. Walker. We are.

to be fair, and oh lawdie... there is an older woman now going on, just livid over it all. that anyone is bothered at Ed calling Laura a slut, that is, not that he did it. Free Speech!!! dude works for a company. sends his voice out all over the country. what he says is their business.

Excuse me but I never once mentioned the failure of liberalis in reference to the South. What I am talking about is the country....not an ~ism. You blamed people for being stupid, uneducated, religious, not thinking right, and ruining the country. And you're doing it caus they usually vote red not blue. That's a blue problem. Get over it or change it. Hey, dude, its your problem, not mine. I am 'doing'......in my own way. And its not their voting patterns that most bothers me but their way of thinking. Sell them on liberalism? You're joking.....right? These are people who believe in creationism; that someone can go to hell if you say the word evil in reference to yourself and that thinks Lady Gaga is the devil incarnate. But you want 'god damn yanks' to sell southerners liberalism Ted, you just demonstrated your absolute ignorance and prejudice against the South. Stop, think. People are individuals not stereotypes, thats what MLK fought and died for. You're acting like a Fox news republican automaton. You sound so stupid it makes me sick. I have a view of the South based on facts and my experiences. Apparently, our views differ and you consider my view to be unacceptable. Inspite of your complaints, it seems to me you are the one who is being intolerant. Rather than finding fault with my position you might start by accepting views that differ from your own. Besides, you have given me nothing that shows support for your position nor done anything to change mine other than to tell me I am wrong. That is exactly the way an American conservative operates......strong criticisms without any substance to back them up........because their sense of entitlement permits it. I'm so tired of politics in this country. Attack, attack, attack. You're the right guys on FAMD. No difference. Step back. Review. This isn't about politics. Its about cultural differences. There are strong cultural differences between the South and the parts of the country where I have lived. In the past, I accepted those differences as part of being an American. That all changed when the South started to impose their preferences on the rest of the country. For all I care, southerners can believe in creationism, the rapture, the devil, Elvis Presley......voodooism if they want.......but don't tell me that I have to believe it as well. And don't tell me you didn't know these differences existed. Ask any Coloradan or New Mexian how they feel about Texans.......or ask someone from NH their feelings about people from Masschusetts to whom they refer as Massholes....ask any American outside of NY what they think of New Yorkers and then ask New Yorkers what they think of people from Jersey. Hell, New Yorkers who move to LA get voice coaches to help them lose their accent because the accent is so disliked in the rest of the country and in LA. We are not one solid country but a country of regions and states. For decades the way this worked is that we accepted and tolerated our differences. Sometime in the past two decades that all changed and the country has become increasingly divided. To make believe this change in attitudes doesn't exist does everyone a disservice IMO.
