That's probably close to the truth. He's surrounded himself with a lot of amateurs who really don't know what they're doing.

His speech writers are the worst ever. That one line about going back to the 1967 borders caused a lot of problems for him. It gave Bibi the opportunity to "school" him and made him look like a fool on the world stage. Didn't make any difference how much it was walked back or explained. He's stuck with the impression.

I can't ever remember so many protocol gaffs by another president. Starting with crashers at a state dinner to Obama not knowing where to stand for photo ops (he stood off to the side instead of the middle at a G7 meeting), to bowing and kowtowing to other leaders, to an embarrassing toast to the queen - the list is longer.

He got talked into attacking another Muslim country by three women in the name of preventing another genocide. You just have to shake your head in wonderment at that one.
