Obama saved the US auto industry and voters in the Mid West will reward him in 2012. He certainly will be "rewarded", with a big boot in the ass, out of the door. Neither company paid back the loans in full. (Do NOT embarrass yourself further with posting phony numbers......proven false already). A total loss for the taxpayers, but NOT THE UNIONS.

i don't believe he saved the auto industry. I believe he saved the auto workers unions and pensions. Those pensions will prove to be unsustainable in the future. So maybe they were actually saved but their ends were just postponed until some time in the future. I believe the problem was the union auto pensions and their costs which wasn't actually addressed at all. Do you have your volt? citizen chartseer
