Wild Wild West in the US

We in the US live with incidence of violence & murder rates that are appalling by any 1rst world , civilized standards ....and our plebian constituent reduced to being dumbed down to the level of mass consumers with the sophistication of Floxxed News & YouTube cacophony . Our prisons & court systems that have grown exponentially to the extent in many states which privatization of prisons was in fact one of the largest growing segments of business are now one major component of threatening fiscal BK of those states.

Outdated & outmoded get tough on crime laws that still treat what could be accepted as more minor non violent treatable drug offenses , perpetuate a state of Prohibition that not only fills the jails but furthers the entire corrupting of our neighbors to the south, where murders have skyrocketed & mass graves by the 100's have been unearthed on the border towns of Mexico . Alcapulco is a ghost town now taken over by drug runners/cartel & high murder /violence rates ....and the violence here .

When one thinks after spending countless Billions on the War on Drugs after nearly five decades & the corrupting of the UN has led to more drugs on the US streets , with higher usage among teenagers and those drugs now can be obtained at 1/4 of the cost compared to just 15yrs ago ...some "War" they've won . But it gets people like Sarah Palin press...

On the other hand WS if GS, MS, Citi and the other of the same ilk can destroy not only people but whole municipalities and countries and bring misery to millions to enrich themselves from paper shufling and they get ZERO punishment - under the American interpretation of "free markets" which enable to rob and steal the whole world.

Here you make a clear case..

and yet the sounds of outrage come mostly from the extremities... so easy to poo poo... The recently popular term cognitive dissonance comes to mind..
