Not surprising when you consider the politically correct culture of a place like Harvard. They needed to check off the "yep, we've had a black President", block. A kind of positional affirmative action choice.

What interests me about Obama and Harvard is how he qualified to get in, since he's so ashamed to make his high school grades, SAT and Columbia records public. I suspect some kind of wealthy benefactor that had influence at the college thwarted the normal acceptance process - probably happens a lot to those with the right connections.

Just another reason, I'm more impressed with graduates of elite engineering schools that Liberal Arts schools these days. At least engineers have the intelligence to pass CALC 1,2,3, statistics and differential math.
