No one is claiming changes don't have to be made, they're just lying that anyone who tries to fix the problem wants old people to eat dog food. Until they push them in the river of course.

That isn't true, although its nice to see that your not making that claim.

Ryan's solution of "let them eat dog food" is probably a bit too much

Its also a fantasy in that his idea doesn't vaguely resemble "let them eat dog food".
