No, but they want to strip mine immature kerogen-containing shale and retort it into a kerosene-like product. I'm dubious about the economics.

That's a totally different concept from the Texas Eagle Ford shale play I mentioned, which uses horizontal drilling and fracturing of mature oil-containing shale to produce crude oil. Likewise with the potential Alaska shale oil play.
