Skeeter, good point. The CPQ deal certainly wasn't turned down in the interest of the public shareholder.

Btw I bought a CPU A200 computer today for the kids. Cost, $1355. I mention this because a similarly configured GTW (G5 200 with a 15"moniter) goes for $1639. That's a $284 spread. GTW's shipping fee is also about twice that of CPU. So add on another $45, you get $329 spread.

One difference, I should add, between the machines is no software other than Windows 95 seems to come with the CPU machine. But anyone who's picking up a second machine doesn't need the software, since they already have it on their first computer.
