Hi Joan, Glad you asked... I use a combination of 2 indicators.... - one based on the linear regression slope - I got this over on the TA for Beginners thread last Feb... I think Chandler Everett is the author. - one based on HLM of my own development. (see Blau's book "Momentum, direction and divergence - 1995) Using the combo, I got a sell on Aug 6th, buy on Sept 12, sells on Oct 3rd and again on Oct 22nd, and the buy last Wednesday. As you can see, not much history yet so don't go to the bank with your earnings! And you are right, visual review of VIX does nothing for me either! Regards, Bill
