I'd do the disk scan on the internal C drive [the one you're backing up FROM]. I doubt both external drives are bad.

If there are error messages, write them down and post.

I don't think Acronis is the blame, like Gottfried said, check your C: drive for errors, bad sectors, if it's has them, you won't be able to make reliable images that will restore.

Also, are you running True Image off the CD, or is it installed on your computer. If you are running it off the computer, as you have it installed, I can not answer any questions, cause I have never installed imaging software, I have for the last 12 years, ran it off boot disks or CD.

What version of Windows are you using?

What version of True Image are you using?

You mentioned that Seagate told you that you needed drivers, thats really strange, are you an old version of Windows, like 2000 or ME, 98?
