By Sarah Turner

SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- The Australian economy contracted by 1.2% in the first quarter of 2011, according to data out Wednesday from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. The drop was the largest fall since the March quarter in 1991, the ABS said. "Flooding which began in late December 2010 combined with cyclones in both Queensland and Western Australian have had a significant impact on the March quarter activity," the ABS said. On an annual basis to the end of March, the Australian economy grew 1%. Economists had been expecting a 1.4% contraction in the quarter and 0.7% growth for the year, according to data compiled by Dow Jones Newswires.

When this story appeared I thought it was nothing. But this guy's going to lose his job over it. Hilarious.

One more liberal Dem down the tubes.

I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. Weiner is no dumb bozo like your Mr. Lee. And yes, 'dumb' and 'bozo' are redundant but then so is Mr. Lee.

However, if Weiner is guilty of the transgression, then he deserves to take whatever grief is handed out to him.
