good. It can't hurt to try one of the non-Acronis programs that were recommended here. Maybe your Acronis program is corrupted.

Wait - you could try and run Acronis from its CD. That would rule out program corruption on the HD.

Can we see the report? Here is how:

Go to Start, then to Control Panel, then to Administrative Tools, then to Event Viewer.

Click the tiny box in the upper right-hand corner to enlarge the window.

Click on Application. See red arrow.

Click on “Source” to list alphabetically. See red arrow.

Scroll down until you see Winlogon. See red arrow

Make sure it’s the date you did the error checking. See red arrow.



Double click Winlogon,

Click on paste to clipboard. See red arrow.



Copy and past your report.

Note: If there were bad sectors fixed, it would not show up in this report, MS told me this back in 2010 when I had 2 failed restored images that were unexplained. Acronis gave me an error that said, something about sectors. Upgraded to a new version of True Image (2010) and all was fine.
