Regarding Syntroleum, see these two links and related threads. Syntroleum's "deal" with Texaco occurred some time ago. It appears to be a case of Texaco tying up the rights to use different processes. Syntroleum's and Rentech's are different: dailyrocket.com and dailyrocket.com.

Clarence, what is the name of the town and the name of the newspaper?
I am in central Oklahoma and can try to track down more infor oleum a non-iron based technology as opposed to RNTK? I can't recall where I read it but I think the iron-based tech is
more sophisticated and higher quality.
