So whoever heard of the NHS--------National Health Service? And what does this part of the beauracracy do? At first I thought gee is this the NIH-----the National Institute of Health in Rockville that is doing state of the Art research in disease. Wonder how many times Obama has left the golf course and went to the NIH to talk with the Scientist and researchers. President George W. Bush regularly made trips to NIH to talk to researchers on their progress in research on AIDS that first was diagnosed in the d.c. metro area. Kudos to Bush. Yes, I am rambling-----however a little history is valuable. So back to the NHS? How many programs such as NHS exist? How many could be elimintaed? How many could be done in the private sector?

Staff thought Mr Thompson was merely drunk and left him to ‘sleep it off’. Yesterday a coroner condemned the death as ‘wholly preventable’. An inquest heard that the father-of-one, who had consumed a cocktail of drink and drugs, could have been saved had he received emergency treatment. The hospital’s accident and emergency department was just 200 yards away. Last night it emerged that three nurses face a disciplinary inquiry over their inaction. Mr Thompson’s parents Alan and Rene labelled his treatment ‘inhumane’ and accused nurses of ‘disgusting neglect’. His father, 71, a retired production line worker, said: ‘Seeing your own flesh and blood being dragged across the floor like a dead animal is heartbreaking. ‘It was just inhumane what they did and I just cannot understand how in this day and age this can be allowed to happen.’
