His theory is that culture affects communications in the cockpit and can result in a cascade of bad decisions based on faulty communications.

I agree with him more or less.... The KAL ethnicity problem could have been exacerbated by them favoring military type pilots... Military pilots tend to have balls the size of grapefruits, that's an attitude that doesn't lend itself well to cockpit coordination....
