I can buy dells, cpq, hp's and dec pcs and managewise will allow zero administration goals with all these pcs...
I didn't see MCNE behind meathead<ggg>
None of the junk you called out means a lot to business processes
and their management.

As I've mentioned..I'm not a techie...but, I recently hired one of Austin's premier techies in this field.

We are hooking everything in and even if a minor component is not functioning we get a page and email via managewise.
whether it's an edi engine or a crital process modem, or mail component, etc. etc.

Don't think that thermal monitoring is high on I/S directors list..
In fact, If one of my users said my repsonse time is alittle slow today and I said it was becasue I was working on my new thermometer system.....I think I would be mud in their eyes that day<ggg>
It's my point exactly.....all that technical garbage is not what you want to hit users between the eyes with.
Austin is loaded with thermal monitoring systems but are still using an army of clerks to key inforamtion into the ERP for stk transactions...... but , they can monitor the temperture of the users
which is pretty hot with all the junk technology that is thrown at them.
and, yes..paying 10 cents a minute for long distance instead of 4-6 cents.....but their thermometer works<gggggggg>
