The powers that be constantly throw it up in our faces that the Federal Reserve is not part of the U.S. government and it is a private lending institution, therefore it can operate independently and above the law.

Of course, that works both ways. Since the FED is only a private company, no one has to pay them back either if push comes to shove.

I'm fine with a barter system or a currency backed by precious metals. Either way, we'd have no Federal Reserve Notes polluting the stream. Seriously.

We'd probably be better off. No debt to service; just pay as we go. Everyone lives within their means; no choice... and no Bullshit Ben laughing off inquiries from Congress like the thief and jackass that he is. -ng-
