ADR Report-China-based stocks fall on rate hike concerns reuters.com we were stalking these Internets SINA BIDU etc that bid up on the Groupon Ipo momo for almost a week ...they all took baths today on this rate hike fear & caught terrific short on SINA this am . keeps us posted TJ (was clear top resistance at $128 where it tagged this am perfectly ...talk about a pullback <vbg) gold diverted back up with the weak dollar but was capped at 1545...1550 has been tough R .

Food imports problematic. Famines in the past turned food self sufficiency in politicised and treated as a sensitive issue. Another case of political sensitive issue: Ghawar oil field that never goes down in Saudi Arabia is a similar case where government hides truth from populaces. Governments must not be trusted!

One detail, china is a food exporter, net net That must be on a dollar basis via import and re-export after labor intensive value added processing, right? Import frozen whole salmon / export packaged portions, import wheat / export dumplings, etc. On a calorie basis I strongly suspect that China eats vastly more calories than it grows, via shiploads of cheap soybeans from Brazil, chicken feet from USA, etc. P.S.
