Would someone explain the difference in capabilities (in layman's language) between the Pentium, Pentium w/MMX, Pentium II w/MMX, and the Merced (believe coming in 1999)? I'd especially like to what each new iteration allows you to do with the computer that you could not do with the previous iteration. If anyone knows what Merced II might look like I'd appreciate your help with that, too. Also, what are the terms of the Intel/HP deal on Merced? Does anyone know how that was structured? Thank you.
