Most certainly the media affects public perception. They convinced over 50% of Americans that Obama was the smartest, the best and would cure everything that ailed the country. They hid all the dirt about him being a Marxist and the laziest guy to ever run.

I don't know why 60% won't vote for her, but something about her rubs people the wrong way. I guess we could blame the media.

I think that was the point of the original post that got this going. The media message has permeated the discussion about Sara Palin and has been absorbed by a lot of people.
