John: I have looked in the Houston Chronicle for Encompass ads. Lots of news print and bad eyes got no results. I searched for inf. on the Houston Chronicle jobs site.chron.com This should have contained Sundays ads, I do not know if the advertiser has to pay extra for inclusion to the web site. My search resulted in :classifieds.astranet.com For 20 + years I have been a temp worker, I prefer the term 'contractor'. For the past 7 years ,I have dealt mostly in the international market. Sites that may interest one. Internationaljobserve.com North Americanoracle.com In the Kostech research article posted here it was stated that FAMH provides ' financial, clerical, and hospitality service industries using state-of-the-art information systems'. Nothing real 'technical' about this, I would assume that the account exec knowing hotel Management does not have a clue about oracle financials implementations and the other way around. My question (which I am researching) is 'What is the business plan.' Which market is FAMH after?. My experience tells me that you can not be everything to all people. For the entry level people, it is okay to have someone with little technical experience recruiting for entry positions. But for the high level ,big bucks people - The recruiter had better be knowledgeable or the candidate will forget them. Somewhere I read that FAMH is creating a factoring entity to take care of the receivables of the other temp agencies, this is an excellent idea. Right now there is a glut of small headhunting startups via the Internet. These and many of the majors agencies pay their people NET 30 or 45 ( or when ever). Factoring will smooth this out and help the industry. I feel that there opportunities in placements , but the people have to be knowledgeable in the area which they are recruiting. Anyway, John, these are my own opinions. I know that some are correct and others suspect. I hope that I made sense. Here in Houston, George
