I would agree that our nation has fallen apart.

But probably for different reasons than you do.

The police in our nation are addicted to drugs. Not consuming them but making a profit from them. Without the profit captured from the drug market, many, if not most, police agencies would not be able to meet budget.

They MUST have this drug money to exist.

As a result, agencies are much more motivated to capture the cash instead of the drugs. In fact many times a police agency will allow a dealer to nearly sell out of stock before conducting the raid.

They can't use the drugs to meet payroll. They can use the cash to do so.

This has turned our nation into a police state where law enforcement has become simply another one of the gangs raping our innocent citizens.

Yes .. it is very sad.

Edit: A very interesting comment by Hillery Clinton recently. Something like "we can't legalize drugs. There's to much money involved."
