I took a look at the IBD top 50 this weekend and noted that 3 of the stocks, AVGO, ALTR, and VECO, in the Group and SOXM were included in this number. As shown in previous posts, a down trend in the SOX started with the week's closing of 18 Feb. The chart shows the comparison of the SOX over this period with the 3 stocks. While the SOX is down over 10 percent, VECO and ALTR are up about 10 percent while AVGO has managed to hold its own. IBD rankings for each stock is shown in the chart.
